Title: Director for the Office of Education Infrastructure Division, NASA
In her current position, Matthews shares responsibility for providing strategic leadership in NASA’s efforts in achieving excellence in STEM education. Matthews served as university program manager for NASA’s Minority University Research and Education Program. Previously, she served in several senior-level higher education positions, including vice president, dean of academic affairs, academic division chairperson and as an associate professor. She has led international curriculum development and strategic management initiatives in England, the Bahamas and Senegal.
