Prior to joining the Association of American Colleges and Universities, Mack was senior program director for the National Science Foundation ADVANCE Program and a professor of biology at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She earned a doctorate in physiology from Howard University, and has conducted significant cancer research. Mack was a member of the National Institutes of Health’s Division of Training, Workforce Development, and Diversity review subcommittee.
